Plum know Building Research Establishment
BRE Academy BIM Campaign
BRE is the world leading building science centre within the UK.
Their aim is to improve buildings and infrastructure through research and knowledge generation.
BRE operate the BRE Academy the world’s leading provider of built environment education and training for professionals through online and classroom courses, webinars and more.
Plum Ideas have worked with BRE for the past 2 years, developing and implementing the promotional strategy for the BRE Academy as a whole but promoting the academy’s range of courses to relevant target audiences - individuals and groups.
Building Information Modelling (BIM), just one of the courses BRE offer, is transforming construction, enabling digitisation of design and operational processes. Its value and impact are only set to grow, as governments demand its use and clients realise the enormous benefits it brings.
BRE approached Plum to raise brand awareness and increase sales of their BIM Training Courses.
We were tasked with driving the relevant target audience for BIM training to the BRE site and to sign up for a BIM Training Course.
But before getting stuck into the practicalities of the campaign, an overarching concept was needed, not only for BIM but for BRE in general.
BRE don’t boast enough that they are the world’s leading provider of built environment education with extensive knowledge, information and experience that they can impart to their students - this is what we focussed on.
‘BRE KNOW’ became the umbrella concept that held everything together - strong, impactful and confident - perfect for what BRE needed.
The multi-channel campaign was executed utilising a range of techniques:
Social media - Twitter / LinkedIn
Digital advertising in key publications
Landing page and website development
Printed adverts and editorials in targeted construction, architects and facilities management trade press
Thematic Landing Page
MPU ANIMATED GIF
The two month campaign was a great success and client feedback was excellent. The campaign resulted in an increase in interest, increase in uptake on the courses and increase in revenue.
